SELDOM INN
"IS A PLACE WHERE YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO BE ANY PLACE AT ALL"
Seldom Inn is not just another wine on the shelf, it’s a wine of passion and simplicity. The winemaker has a theory that a wine can find its own way through a sea of expensive marketing, overseas investment, fancy packaging and false impressions of idealist lifestyles. Grapes for all of the Seldom Inn range are chosen every year personally by the winemaker, who communicates with the grower to get the best from what the soils and vines have to offer. The 08 vintage was good one for Geddes, the grapes have showed the promises of intense generous lashings of true McLaren Vale fruit driven flavor. The wines are made by hand in the same winery from grape to glass by Tim Geddes. In the few years of production Tim has 34 medals to his wines, which include GSM, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pettit Verdot, and Viognier; these wines can be sourced by asking for them at your local independent wine store. Those who manage to get their hands on the latest releases will be intrigued and even more so when the Cabernet Petit Verdot blend, and the inspiring ‘Another’ shiraz which is only made in years when wine is worthy. These unique wines are made in open wooden fermenters and have been given the great Geddes treatment. These wines are yet to be released.
