AROMA
The lifted aromas of spice, cherry, rose petal and tar are derived from the Grenache and the sense of depth of plums and pepper comes from the Shiraz. The Mataro adds earthy meaty notes and with all three varieties combined form a complex nose.
PALATE
The Grenache automatically hits the front palate with its sweet confectionary spiced cherry fruit following on into the density of plums and dark fruits from the Shiraz with the Mataro rounding the flavours off and an earthy long lasting length.
OVERVEIW
A medium to full bodied wine aged in 3-4 year old French and American Hogsheads has very little oak influence but rather contributing aging characters forming a luscious broad palate with soft fine grained tannins, savoury notes, and allowing the wine gain in complexity.

AROMA
The dark fruit spectrum that’s present that shows typical characters of this variety with likes of blackberry, blueberry and youthful mulberry aromas. The use of French oak is lifted with the fruit adding complexity to the nose.
PALATE
Luscious rich red and dark berry fruit coates the palate. With the addition of French oak adds cedar and sweet oak characters. The natural nature of the variety has fine grain tannins combined with the oak adds structure, supporting the strength of the fruit from front to back.
OVERVEIW
The majority of the wine is derived from 40yr old vines with a small portion of the wine derived from 15yr old vines. Good levels of fruit intensity should develop to more complex characters with careful cellar from mid to long.
Wine aged 25% new and 1 year old French oak.

Lifted aromas of pepper, rich fruits of forest berry mixture. Toasted American oak adding pencil shaving, vanilla, mocha and cedar characters that adds depth.
PALATE
Big generous rich red berry fruit dominates the whole palate while the American oak adds sweet oak characters. This full bodied wine has fine grain tannins combined with the sweet oak adds structure and supports the strength of the fruit from front to back.
OVERVEIW
A full bodied wine aged 30% new American and 1 year old French Hogsheads for 18 months. This shows concentrated fruit characters and tannin structure that shall allow this wine to age gracefully.

2008 PETIT VERDOT

AROMA
A wine with varietal character, that shows floral notes of violets, lifted red fruits and depth and character of plums. The new French oak has added some spice and liquorice notes that also contributes it intensity and complexity.
PALATE
The palate has concentrated red fruits, pepper, spice and licorice characters following thru with sweet and savoury oak characters with balanced acidity that gives the palate structure luscious and bold while keeping constraint and refining it into a streamlined structure.
OVERVEIW
A wine with structure of a Cabernet and the generosity of a Shiraz. It has been aged for 16 months in 30% new French oak while the remainder was aged in 1-2 year old French barrels adding to its complexity that also will develop with medium to long term aging.
